How to Use the Photo Mosaic & Brightness Tool

  1. Upload a photo: Click the upload area or drag and drop your image. JPG, PNG, and other common formats are supported.
  2. Choose an effect: Switch between "Mosaic" and "Brightness" tabs. For mosaic, pick a square or dot style and adjust the tile size. For brightness, drag the slider to brighten or darken the image.
  3. Choose where to apply it: Select "Whole Photo" to compare before/after with a draggable slider, or "Paint Area" to use an adjustable brush and apply the effect only where you need it — like a face, license plate, or text.
  4. Download your result: Click "Download" to get your image at full original resolution, with no watermark.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to sign up or install anything?

No. Everything runs directly in your browser — no account, no software installation, and your photo is never uploaded to a server. Just process and download.

Is my photo uploaded or stored anywhere?

No. This tool processes images entirely client-side, meaning your photo stays in your device's memory the whole time. Nothing is sent to a server, and no copy is kept once you close the tab.

Can I apply mosaic and brightness to the same photo at once?

These two effects are applied separately. Apply one effect and download the result, then re-upload that image to apply the second effect on top of it.

Is the downloaded image compressed?

No. The on-screen preview is compressed for smooth editing, but the download is re-rendered at your original photo's full resolution.

What is this tool commonly used for?

Common uses include redacting personal information on ID photos or documents, blurring sensitive details in screenshots (phone numbers, addresses, license plates), pixelating faces before sharing on social media, and quick brightness adjustments for everyday photo editing.
